1017 AD. The Republic of Pisa is organizing a fleet to drive out the Saracens who are infesting the Mediterranean. While the forces are away "The Gorgon," the young daughter of a Pisan nobleman who has been heroically killed, comes to be solemnly invested as the figurehead virgin who will maintain a lantern to celebrate the men's victorious return. In charge of the home guard is an ambitious young Florentine who feels deprived of the forthcoming honour and glory, and who seeks revenge by violating the sacred person of the virgin. He gains access to her well guarded quarters, but when the Gorgon falls helplessly in love with him, his desire for vengeance falls away. His plot exposed, he commits suicide rather than invoke the wrath of the Pisans. The Gorgon too takes her life by throwing herself from a high tower. Meanwhile, the victorious Pisan vessels return.

In 1931, just before the New Year, in a house of architect Henryk Zaremba scream rips the night. The daughter of Zaremba is found killed in her bedroom, obviously killed with a pickaxe. The police arrives and starts the investigation. Rita Gorgonova, the governess of the girl and also lover of Zaremba becomes the main suspect.

Greece. A small, impoverished city-state dominated by a massive refinery—its only source of income: oil. The men, all armed, hold absolute power. Their leader, Nikos, is gravely ill and must arrange his succession. Shock spreads when he includes his protégé, Maria, among the contenders. The fate of this young woman—unaware of the most tragic part of her family’s past—will be turned upside down by the arrival of Eleni, a singer at the town’s bar.

The beginning of the 20s. In the North Caucasus, a gang led by the “Head of the Gorgon” is preparing a counter-revolutionary rebellion. The Red Army soldier Svetlov, returning home from the front, becomes a victim of the bandits who attacked him and finds himself in the hospital, the very center of the White Guard conspiracy.

The Battle of Stalingrad ended. The Soviet Army is preparing a large-scale Belarusian strategic offensive operation codenamed "Bagration". A week before the start of the operation, it becomes known that the Germans have mined all the approaches to the city of N. Roads, bridges, forests are mined. They have created entire minefields. The city itself is totally mined. Civilians may suffer. An experienced scout Tishkov is called to the army headquarters. Fyodor Tishkov, a former circus performer who once performed with power numbers, receives a new task.

The ghoulish Michael Berryman hosts this horror video magazine with an electronic gorefest of horror previews, graphic footage too gory for TV, shock rock, in-depth interviews with splatter masters, chilling special effects, and buckets more. An hour plus of interviews with b-movie stars, horror film directors, special effects wizards, mixed with trailers for horror films and footage of a GWAR concert.
